"Would Stay Again"
East Bay Inn was wonderful! It's a beautiful historic building in the beautiful historic district of Savannah. It's easily in walking distance of everything you want in Savannah. From the moment we arrived, everyone was very hospitable and helpful. The evening wine/cheese was wonderful. Honestly, one of our favorite amenities was free bottled water at the front desk. They also have coffee and lemonade available in the lobby most of the time. It was always a bright spot after walking around Savannah in the heat. Breakfast is served every morning in the restaurant downstairs. We expected a basic continental breakfast, but were pleasantly surprised to find gravy, biscuits, sausage or ham along with the typical fruit & bagels. We were so very pleased with everything about the East Bay! I would recommend it to anyone!

“Great first visit to Savannah.”
Loved whole experience at the Inn. Front staff, Melvin, breakfast, staff and wine time staff...all extra nice and helpful. Southern charm DOES exist! Room beautiful and full of charm. Overall staff could not have been more helpful amd delightful. The location isnot only close to the water, but walkable to all historic and shopping areas. A huge plus if you don't rent a car. I was so impressed with Savanah in general and very glad we chose East Bay Inn to stay.Reviewed by Sandra D on 5/15/2015 via TripAdvisor
“Excellent Staff at Front Desk ... Bellman Melvin was very kind too!”
We stayed at the East Bay Inn for three nights in room 101 with our 2 dogs. The room could use a good cleaning but for an old historic hotel this place was fine. The blower for the air conditioning blows right on you every time it turns on and it's very loud. We didn't get much sleep. I now have a cold and sore throat from all the cold air but that will pass in a week.
However, every time we left the room and returned we were greeted by the staff. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Shelia is amazing and Melvin is so very helpful. Also, Skylar was delightful at cocktail hour.
We enjoyed meeting the other guests at the evening reception.
The hotel furnishings are perfect for the type of hotel ... old ... historic. The location of the hotel is perfect.Reviewed by TinaRuzicka on 5/12/2015 via Trip Advisor
"Friendly Fun Town For People & Pets"
Checked in to East Bay Inn on Sunday afternoon. Parked in their lot and didn't move for 3 days. We had our Cairn Terrier with us.She was welcomed with a goodie bag . We were welcomed by staff and a room with 20 foot high ceilings, antique beds and furniture. An old warehouse beautifully redone with modern conveniences. Breakfast was great. The biscuits and gravy alone were worth the stay. Plus, Location, Location, Location across the street from the river entertainment area, and 2 blocks behind the hotel begin the world famous Savannah Squares with their ancient shade trees and rich history surrounded by early American architecture and old south friendliness and people. All of the staff were excellent giving time in their busy schedule to talk with guests and offer information about the area and places. Even our dog was made to feel like a guest on our way out by one of the staff, Selena, who stopped to pet our dog and say goodbye. I loved this place and will return ASAP.
