MONDAY at Noon by Kelly Tours / GrayLine Savannah

Tybee Island Dolphin Tour - 5 Hours

Travel to Tybee Island and begin this tour with lunch on your own at the Crab Shack.  Amazing steamed seafood, a fun atmosphere, spectacular scenery, exotic birds, and an alligator pond with over a hundred of these reptiles to view.  Following lunch, tour goers board a boat for a Dolphin Cruise through Tybee Island’s-waterways in search of the ever-prevalent bottle-nose dolphin playing in their natural habitat.  The captain will point out the bird life, estuaries and marshes that provide shrimp, fish and crab with a perfect place to call home.  Also on the cruise are views of historic Fort Pulaski, Cockspur Island Lighthouse (built in 1856) and Tybee Island Lighthouse. After the Dolphin Cruise, there's a stop by the Tybee Island Lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean for a photo opportunity before returning to Savannah.

Historic Jekyll Island Day Tour - 8 hour excursion

Travel by mini bus for 1 hour to one of Georgia’s most popular barrier islands, Jekyll.  Narrated tram tour offers the history of Millionaire’s Village including the stories of the Reynolds, Vanderbilt, and Rockefeller families that made this island a vacation paradise in the early 1900’s. Stops are included at two of the homes for a tour as well as a visit to the Jekyll Island Museum.  Following the tram tour, there's time for lunch on your own and shopping, then visit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, the coast’s premier coastal wildlife rehabilitation facility before departing back to Savannah.

Fort Jackson & Bonaventure History

This is a half-day tour of two of the city’s most popular attractions outside of the Historic District, Fort Jackson and Bonaventure Cemetery. Old Fort Jackson is one of Georgia’s oldest standing brick fortifications dating back to the early 1800’s.  Fort Jackson offers a fun-filled experience which includes a daily cannon firing, re-enactments, artifacts and beautiful views along the Savannah River.  Following the fort tour, the tour stops at Paula Deen's new restaurant the Creek House for lunch on your own.  After lunch, the day continues to Bonaventure Cemetery to learn about the lives of notable inhabitants like Academy Award-winning songwriter Johnny Mercer, Georgia’s first governor Edward Telfair, philanthropist Mary Telfair, as well as the tragic tales of poet Conrad Aiken and Gracie Watson.  The 2-hour Bonaventure Cemetery walking tour meanders under moss draped oaks and along the bluff of the Wilmington River through one of the most beautiful cemeteries dating back to 1846.

Wormsloe Plantation & Isle of Hope Tour

Travel to the coastal areas of Savannah for lunch on your own at Sandfly BBQ.  Continue with a drive through the Historic and picturesque Isle of Hope Historic District.  Landscaped with old oak trees covered in Spanish moss, the houses range in style from Greek Revival to Craftsman Bungalows.   After this drive along the bluff, the thought of looking for a Realtor will come to mind! Continue with a visit to Wormsloe Plantation Tabby Ruins that date to the 18th Century for a docent led tour of the Georgia State Park Historic Site. 
Finally, a stop is scheduled at the Famous Savannah Byrd Cookie Company for shopping and tastings of Byrd’s Famous Cookies. Key Lime, Benne Wafers, and Cheddar Cheese are just of few of the favorites.
