Conveniently located in the Inn and no reservations needed, everyone’s welcome to fill up on honest-to-goodness Southern classics for breakfast or lunch – like their famous chicken and waffles, or fried green tomatoes and stacked crab cakes with a side of collard greens (ask for pepper vinegar). DAILY DOSE

Whether you’re ready to jumpstart your day with an espresso or unwind with a signature cocktail, swing by Tandem Coffee & Spirits located on the first floor. This contemporary coffee bar is oh, so much more than a cafe – offering pastries, tapas, wine, and craft beers in a cozy, historic setting. And did we mention bottomless mimosas?

Small in size and big on service, Tandem shines as one of Savannah's favorite neighborhood spots: “Quaint little bar with a unique experience. Not your average bar stop for sure. The servers know their specialty spirits and concocted some incredibly delicious cocktails. We will be back.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge East Bay Inn was built upon Muscogee Creek ancestral land. As settlers on their indigenous homeland, we have a duty to recognize the Muscogee Creek nation as the original stewards of Savannah and beyond. The Muscogee Nation is one of the 5 Civilized Tribes and is the fourth largest tribe in the US. Before 1500 AD, the Muscogee covered the entire southeastern US.

Here in downtown Savannah, the Yamacraw were a small group of Creek Indians living on the Savannah River. When Oglethorpe landed here in 1733, he worked with the Yamacraw (Chief Tomochichi) to peacefully settle on the bluff where Bay Street is today.

It is our hope that this land acknowledgment will help empower First Nation voices and inspire others in the community to pursue a stronger, more inclusive, and equitable future for our country. We seek to educate ourselves while contributing to the Muscogee Creek peoples by raising awareness and learning how to be a better ally against continued colonization.
