Meet Charlie, Savannah's Friendliest Ghost
Intrigued by Savannah's supernatural reputation? It's right up there with other port cities such as Salem, New Orleans, and Charleston. You simply cannot miss the chance to book a stay with us, just steps from the dark waters of the Savannah River.
Built in 1852, East Bay Inn is frequently named one of the most haunted hotels in Savannah – including a spot on TheTravel.com's "10 Haunted Hotels In Savannah To Satisfy Your Paranormal Passion." Our historic property is widely rumored to be home to a spirit from the past. Fortunately for guests, he's a friendly one – despite the story that this young man met an untimely end ages ago, falling from a third-floor window. Affectionately named "Charlie" by our staff, our resident specter is more mischievous than malicious: walking the third floor at night, flickering lights, locking doors. That's just classic Charlie.
