SEE & DO

Discover SAVANNAH

At the East Bay Inn, you’ll find yourself in the historic heart of the Hostess City of the South – and there's no shortage of things to do in Savannah! Enjoyment awaits right outside our front steps – history, art, dining, and local shops are all along the waterfront.

As the oldest city in Georgia and its first capital after the Revolution, there are countless historic (including haunted) sites in town to experience. Or, escape into the seclusion of nature – from tree-lined streets for strolling, to neighboring beaches for unwinding. But let’s start with one of our city’s most striking features: The squares.

One of the most enjoyable things to do in Savannah is also one of the easiest: Stroll through the beautiful squares! Guests of East Bay Inn are right in the center of some of Savannah's prettiest squares, amid shopping, spots for a cold drink or cup of coffee if you need a boost. Start with nearby Reynolds Square, and let the breeze guide you from there.

A trolley tour is a fun and easy way to get familiar with Savannah – especially if you're a first time visitor. There are several tours our guests always report enjoying, including a hop-on-hop-off tour with more than 15 stops that explore Savannah's most important attractions.

A WALKING TOUR

We also recommend guided walking tours that explore some of the most beautiful sites on foot that Savannah has to offer. Before you even ask: Of course there are ghost tours in the state’s oldest city – that is, if the haunted vibes of Savannah are your thing (in which case, definitely ask us about the inn’s third floor). And for those who prefer something more personalized: Whatever your interests, we can help arrange a tour you'll love!

ENMARKET ARENA

Savannah's new 9,500-seat venue hosts music, sporting events, and entertainment that visitors of all ages can enjoy. See Disney on Ice or the ECHL Ghost Pirates (Savannah's new ice-hockey team), snag a seat for the edge-of-your-seat Rodeo Savannah, score tickets to a special concert or comedy set... There’s bound to be something exciting while you’re in town! And whatever the event, you'll be near the Enmarket Arena when you stay at The East Bay Inn.

top three activities

to do with your
Dog in Savannah

Renowned for being a dog-friendly city, in Savannah there are almost endless opportunities to enjoy the city together! There's lots to see and do here with your pup, and we're happy to guide you both for a fantastic Savannah getaway.

Here are our favorite three things to do with our four-legged friends while in Savannah:

1.  Dine Outdoors

Combine Savannah's love for good food with our affection for dogs, and you’ve got a winning combination for restaurants with outdoor dining with your pet. To get the latest list of pet-friendly restaurants, ask the concierge on duty for recommendations.

2.  Take a Tour

Most walking tours here are pet friendly, so together you can feed two birds with one scone! For the most dog-friendly tour, check out Oliver Bentley’s Historic Dog Walk Tour and Map. And if your sidekick needs a ride, we recommend Old Savannah Tours for a trolley tour that allows service dogs.

3.  Take a Walk

With 22 parks and squares, the historic district is a great place to walk. You’ll find nose-level doggie water fountains – two in Forsyth Park, one in Troup Square and one in Ellis Square – just perfect for your pup to grab a quick drink.
